Ndamo Damarise

Ndamo Damarise is a bilingual and multiple award-winning “A” list actress hailing from the Northwest region of Cameroon. With a rich academic background, she graduated with double honors in English and French from the University of Buea. Beyond her academic achievements, she is a distinguished communication expert and host.

Damarise’s illustrious acting career includes starring in two blockbuster movies on Netflix, solidifying her position in the global entertainment industry. She is best known for her roles as Teacher Bihbih in the critically acclaimed Netflix film “The Fisherman’s Diary,” directed by Enah Johnscott, and as Mrs. Macaulay in the movie “Strangers,” directed by Biodun Stephens. Her exceptional talent has garnered numerous awards and international recognition, including accolades for Best Actress of the Year and Best Supporting Actress in countries such as Cameroon, London, India, Nigeria, Ghana, and Sierra Leone.

Her prominence is further underscored by her presence on major streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, ShowMax, and Africa Magic Showcase, as well as in-flight entertainment on airlines such as Air France, Brussels Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, and Emirates Airlines. Media coverage of her work spans renowned outlets, including Aljazeera, Cameroon Tribune, Guardian Post, and The Info Newspaper.

In recognition of her contributions to cinema, Damarise has been honored by prestigious institutions. She was hosted by the US Embassy in Yaoundé and received accolades from the Prime Minister of Cameroon and the Minister of Arts and Culture as the Best Cameroonian Actress at the Cameroon International Film Festival 2022.

An activist and humanitarian ambassador, Damarise collaborates with organizations such as SisterSpeak 237, the US Embassy, PEP Africa, the United Nations, and the Africa Students and Youth Summit in Rwanda. She is furthering her acting studies at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, aiming to enhance her skills and broaden her professional network so that she can continue her impactful career in the entertainment industry.
