“A warm welcome can make a difference.
No matter where youare from or why you are coming.
Help make your neighborhood a better place for everyone to live.”

Facilitating Refugees’ Entry and Empowering Diversity for Overseas Migration” = FREEDOM is a 12-week community integration program dedicated to creating a friendly environment for you = refugees by offering services to help migrants and refugees successfully become valuable in their new community.

This initiative aligns with a program launched in January 2023 by the U.S. Department of State, in coordination with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, that empowers communities to welcome refugees in America: https://www.state.gov/refugee-admissions/about/.

We provide essential tools and resources that you (Refugees) need to rebuild your lives and thrive in new communities.

FREEDOM offers unique opportunities to you = (Refugee) that make life more meaningful and worthwhile. Much depends on your (Refugee) willingness to identify and pursue these opportunities and a sense of social responsibility. FREEDOM supports you (Refugees) in gaining valuable knowledge, skills, and experience that can boost your academic performance and employability. You (Refugee) also provide transferable skills that can contribute to community improvement and cultural connections for diversity.

We help refuges adapt and adopt new habits and lifestyles through friendly, safe, and peaceful social inclusion and cultural integration programs. We want refugees to contribute to world peace by creating friendships as global citizens, engaging in community activities that promote social development, and building cultural connections within the local community across states.

TO GET STARTED

If you seek refugee status, the first step is to register with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in your fled country. UNHCR determines if you meet the international definition of a refugee.

If you meet the classification, we will collaborate to facilitate referrals to the United States Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) for individuals of specific interest in the United States. Contact us via email at freedom@pepafrica.org
