Maudlyn Akosua Awuku

Ms. Maudlin Awuku is a highly esteemed leader in the field of community development, renowned for her significant contributions to global peace and gender equality. Her exemplary work has been recognized with the prestigious Young Achievers Award at the UK House of Parliament and her designation as a Young Global Peace Ambassador.
With an impressive professional background, Ms. Awuku has served in influential roles with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in Ghana. She has also represented UN Women UK at the Commission on the Status of Women at the UN headquarters in New York.
Currently, Ms. Awuku is a Board Member of Club Alpbach London, a part of the European Forum Alpbach initiative. She has shared her insights at numerous high-profile events, including TEDx talks, international panels, and conferences. Her advocacy work has earned her multiple accolades, such as being named one of the Forty Under 40 influential young leaders in the UK and receiving the Excellence in Community Development Award and the People’s Choice Award.
Dedicated to promoting intersectional gender equality, Ms. Awuku empowers young women to assume leadership roles and advocates for their representation, particularly in Ghana and West Africa.
In PEP Africa, she is focused on sustainable development, skill-building, and capacity enhancement to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Agenda 2030, further solidifying her role as a leading voice in community development and global advocacy.
