Benson Makusha is a youth development specialist with over a decade of experience in international program design and management. His work has spanned more than 25 countries across Africa and Europe, focusing on critical youth-related issues such as Migration, Education, human rights, peace education, inter-religious understanding, sexual and reproductive health, and climate change. Benson is well-versed in international development and adept at integrating youth perspectives into United Nations debates and decision-making. He has crafted youth advocacy documents for the UN, including the Youth Declaration for the 5th Landlocked Developing Countries, which outlined the aspirations of young people from 46 countries, serving as a pen-holder. Benson also possesses strong partnership. network and campaign development skills, having collaborated on and steered international youth programs and policy advocacy initiatives collaborating within global networks. He holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor’s in Marketing and Economics.
