We oversee the utilization of donations, audit and control the organization’s financial records and policies, and ensure transparency and accountability to our supporters. Our team comprises a Country Lead (COL), Social Development (SoDET) Trainer, Program Administrator and Finance Officer (PAFO), Project Officer (PRO), Community Improvement Officer (CIO), Communications and Knowledge Manager (COMKnoM), and Youth Engagement Officer (YEO).

Unemployment and Underemployment*: High youth unemployment and underemployment rates are major concerns in Nigeria. Many young people struggle to find decent and stable employment opportunities, leading to economic insecurity and frustration.
Gender Inequality**: Gender disparities persist in Nigeria, affecting young women and girls disproportionately. Challenges include limited access to education, early marriage, gender-based violence, and unequal opportunities in employment and leadership roles.
Political Marginalization**: Youth often feel marginalized from political processes and decision-making in Nigeria. Limited opportunities for meaningful participation in governance can lead to feelings of disenfranchisement and disengagement from civic life.
Corruption and Lack of Transparency**: Corruption undermines efforts to address key issues facing young people in Nigeria, including access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. The prevalence of corruption erodes trust in public institutions and limits resources available for youth development initiatives.
Healthcare Access**: Despite efforts to improve healthcare services, access to quality healthcare remains challenging for many young Nigerians. Issues such as inadequate healthcare infrastructure, high healthcare costs, and limited access to essential services contribute to poor health outcomes among youth.
Addressing these challenges requires government, civil society, and the private sector coordinated efforts. Strategies should focus on improving access to quality education and healthcare, promoting youth employment and entrepreneurship, enhancing political participation and governance transparency, addressing insecurity and violence, and advancing gender equality and social inclusion. Investing in youth development is crucial for Nigeria’s sustainable development and future prosperity.
